Why not escape
the real world?
Would you like
to find it is easy to travel to other worlds?
Just imagine for
a moment in time, picture yourself here on a distant planet and yet view
another pyramid.
To assist in your travel plans here is a link to The Astronomy Picture of the Day
Also there is the NASA Picture of the Day available on this
page that leads to a feast of other great space stuff.

Now just a little Windows and site navigation
hint to aid your experience.
When clicking on links (normally underlined text where your
normal mouse pointer changes to a hand symbol).
You can right mouse click then open a new window/tab
or use your browser back arrow to return here.
This is a cool one to remember. If you have a scroll
mouse simply click the scroll wheel (button 3) and open link in a new tab.

Who can forget the famous
For historical interest , Babylon 5 was built in
the Euphrates sector, a small region of neutral space, in orbit around the
planet Epsilon 3.
Babylon 5 went online in 2256, and in 2257 became
fully operational. It was incredibly some five miles long and weighing 2.5
million tonnes.
The Station continued operations for 20 years
longer than planned and was decommissioned and finally destroyed in 2281.
A sad day indeed.

Now who can forget the famous and classic quote from
G'Kar, just below for you to ponder as we travel?
“Take my advice and go back to the time you came from.

There is a quote from a movie that when I hear it
I feel rather strange. I not know why but here are those words.
“Cirrus,
Socrates, Particle, Decibel, Hurricane, Dolphin, Tulip"
Do you know where this passage is from?
The phase is from the movie AI -
Artificial Intelligence and they are the code words spoken by
the mother to make
David fall permanently in love (programmed bonding) about 22 minutes into the movie.
Sadly I cannot locate the correct sound file for your
enjoyment.
Trust me, if you do get a chance watch the movie and
appreciate that maternal moment.
I recorded and inserted my own voice here
but it does not do the poetry
justice.

Some
other sound files for your entertainment while passing.
Who
can forget Robert Duvall in
the movie Apocalypse Now saying
“I love the smell of napalm in the morning "
Or
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, the drill instructor from Full Metal Jacket barking
From
Forrest Gump of course Run, Forrest,
run! Run, Forrest !"
and
finally Quaid saying in Total Recall "Get your ass to Mars !"

Just a moon shot for you to gaze upon
and a picture of the Saturn Five rocket that got man there. Did they actually go to the moon, or
was it all a hoax as some would have you believe? You do remember the Apollo space
program? Hyperlinks to Wikipedia information
provided, so just click the pictures. |
Do you find
people born after the moon landing are a little different to those born before?
______________________________________________________________________
Here
are two items of interest.
The
first plaque has left our Solar System on each of the 2 Pioneer Space probes
launched in the 1970’s,
the
second is on the surface of the Moon, actually attached to the
LEM leg.

Do you
think or believe there is anything in pyramids?
Do they
hide any secret codes? Do they contain any message?
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Now you
might think I had something for pyramids or black and white photographs,
but no, just some
pictures to put up on the site for a little while.
I found this
animated Beatles gif while searching the internet one day and thought it was
worth inclusion here.

My Motor cars
over the years
The
Mercedes Benz A160 had served me well.
Near 8 years old and with 66,000 kilometres on the odometer, it was again time
to update.
Still wanting the safest vehicle in the class, the Mercedes A class model was
again selected.
With the desire for more power while maintaining that luxury feel an A200
Elegance
was discovered in the yard of Brisbane Mercedes Benz.
Click the Mercedes
Benz icon below for their website
Here are some pictures of the new car. It is still a fine
vehicle by all my measures.
2007 A200 Elegance
Now to a couple of my previous motor vehicles
The Ford Festiva was purchased new in
1994.
Then near 10 years old (2004) with 113,000 kilometres on the
odometer, it was time to update/upgrade and
wanting the safest vehicle in the
class, the Mercedes A class model was chosen. This a fine vehicle by all my measures.

to return)
A History of Motor Vehicle Ownership
The below pictures represent the make, model and year the vehicle
was purchased and
are not personal pictures so the colours may not be correct.
So what does this tell you about the owner?
Fastidious, finicky or fussy come to mind,
but then perhaps perfectionist, picky or purist?

It will be time to depart and leave here
soon, but before you venture away to a far away land, there is a little more to
consider.
Please take a moment in time, appreciate
what a small world it is that we exist on in the blackness of the universe.
Please be considerate to the
environment. I am not a greenie by any yardstick, but our future depends on
your present.

The accurate recording of history is important as some
say; there is no future without a past?
If you don't commit to paper the memory may fail and then where
would we be?

Room for expansion here so make a

Finally and for some, a brief news
item, perhaps of some interest, but then again it is a short note that
one day this small step may lead you
to somewhere quite unique in the world, but again I am and will be endeavoring
to add to the site and I am forever and still testing.
Thanks for a wonderful life on Earth.
